I own and show a 2001 gelding by your stallion, Takin A Walk. I have owned him for two years and just wanted to take a minute to tell you that he is a great testament to your stallion! He has been a pleasure to ride and show! I am a novice amateur and do the majority of the work myself, with help from friends in the industry.

This year we showed at the Congress. We were Top Ten in the Nov Am EQ, a Finalist in the Horsemanship and a Semi-Finalist in the Showmanship! I thought I would share his picture with you, and would be honored to be added to your photo gallery if you would like to ad us!

Thanks for standing a terrific stallion.

Have a very Merry Christmas,
Melissa Weaver

Hi Rhonda,

I am sure Jimmy has told you how happy we are with Marti. My daughter loves him. He is beautiful and has the sweetest disposition. We thought you would like to have this picture that we had taken in Virginia maybe for your Web site.

Hi Rhonda,

Julie told me you were doing some "remodeling" on your website! I just wanted to give you an update of my mare, A ChanceOf BlueSkies and send you some recent photos!

"Lucy" and I were 10th at the Congress in the Amateur Hunter Hack and were also finalists at the World Show in the Amateur Hack. She placed 9th at the World with Julie in the Junior Hunter Hack.

In the 2007 AQHA high point standings, Lucy finished 4th in the Junior Hunter Hack and 5th in the Amateur Hunter Hack. We never tried for the points, so it was very exciting to end up in the top five for both classes.

We added the working hunter and equitation over fences this year and we are VERY excited about it. Lucy is such a natural... we took her to the Florida shows this winter and I can't tell you how many offers I refused. She is the type of horse that everybody wants in their barn. We are already very close to qualifying in both the Green Working Hunter and the Amateur Working Hunter (in addition to already being qualified in the Amateur and Senior Hunter Hacks). Let's hope for another great year!

Enjoy the photos!

Dear Rhonda,

I own a three-year-old gelding (born in 2005) by Sky Blue Walker out of Safekeeping, a mare now owned by Anne M. Jones. “Lucy,” by Castle Magic, was my mare, and when she got an injury that I could not fix, Anne took her as a broodmare and has given her a wonderful home. Our paths crossed again in 2004, and at that time Lucy was carrying my horse “Hudson Street,” so I have known him since he was born. I bought him as a foal, and he has brought nothing but joy to my life. I have ridden for years, but I had no experience working with horses under the age of three. With Anne’s help, and the support of William Howland who handles him at some of the shows, we have brought him along, and he is now being shown under saddle as well as in the Three –Year Old Non-Thoroughbred Colt and Gelding Hunter Breeding Classes at the A-rated Hunter Shows.

As a foal, he won at Upperville and as a yearling he won his class at Devon. He has been the top foal, yearling, and two-year-old non-thoroughbred gelding in the State of Maryland. As a yearling he finished fourth in the zone and as a two-year old he finished third.

This year we have begun to show him under saddle and his wonderful disposition and generosity and his quality of movement have won the hearts of many. It has been a real gift to have him as my horse. He is a three-year-old that goes in the ring more obediently, quietly, and willingly than many older horses, and I do not have to lunge him to make this happen. At a recent competition, one of the judges who has watched him grow up, told me (and I paraphrase) that she has always loved him and that I better not sell him. Horses like him do not come along that often; he is not only attractive, but he is one that anyone would like to have in their barn…including her.

I hope for a long and productive partnership with Hudson, and I thought you might want to know a little about him. To me his heart and mind make him priceless, and I give “Lucy” and “Sky” credit for these aspects of his personality. Mr. Jones, Adriana, and Linda would agree. They are part of the “Hudson” team, and it is these qualities that make him such a pleasure to be around as they help Anne and I make sure he gets the best of everything. He is a winner in so many ways.
